Ms. Miller declares: “I am the only candidate intending to commit fulltime to this position, starting now”.
For those of you who do not know my name, I am Kevin O’Connor or better known as the “Guy on G-10” who wears the high visibility vests, who addresses issues at both the County Commissioner meetings as well as the Jacksonville City Council meetings. I am writing to ask you to support Tracey Louise Miller as our District 15 representative.
I went back and watched the candidates forum on G-10 and reread the interviews in April 25, 2010 newspaper. I went to the web sites of all the candidates and as a registered Independent voter, I am voting for Tracey. She has a plan and a mission which is clearly stated on her website. Tracey has told us what she has all ready done to start the ball rolling once she obtains her state seat. “Now” was quite some time ago. To the residents of Onslow County, are you going off of what people told you or have you done your research? Are you a spectator or a participant?
Before I tell you “why” to vote for Tracey, let me tell why you should not vote for Martin Aragona or Phil Shepard. Simply put, the mud slinging that both are throwing at each are accurate statements. Additionally, both have political ties that make me question their true motives in order to properly provide a service to the residents of Onslow County. Tracey has also been in regular attendance at the Onslow County Commissioners meetings whereas the other two candidates have not. Admittingly, you can watch it on G-10, but it does make a difference when you attend in person. Lastly, the quarter cent sales tax increase, in which Mr. Aragona is against, tells me that he truly does not know what it takes to run a county and what the status of public safety and schools is, especially since Governor Purdue just cut funding for North Carolina schools by some $400 million, which happened this week. Mr. Shepard with ties to Department of Transportation and the Democratic Party make me question his motives. Why would you want someone in office where you have to ask if the questions being raised are accurate and whether they have ties to the “good ole boy network”? That is one of our biggest problems.
On inquiry to find out who Tracey Louis Miller is? (And you know I do research and inquiries). The terms used to describe Tracey are “hard working”, “Jumps in with both feet” and “Smart”. I personally think she performed better then the other candidates in the forum on G-10 when discussing the issues of the county. She is also doing a grass roots campaign, which I like. This tells me there are no political ties except to the residents of the county. Her interview in Sunday April 25, 2010 Jacksonville Daily News reiterates what she stated in the forum on G-10 and on her web site. She has a plan to form teams to address issues, so she has a plan that the other candidates do not. Tracey has clearly stated what conferences and forums that she has attended to start the ball rolling. Lastly, executive, small business and military experience will get us someone in Raleigh who can fight the fight for all the residents of Onslow County.
